DIELECTRIC HITS 50
Dielectric has been awarded its 50th HDTV Design Study Contract

RAYMOND, ME-September 4, 1996-A total of 50 stations have contracted with Dielectric for HDTV Design Studies. Led by a number of groups including Mount Sutro, San Francisco and World Trade Center, New York, the stations are located throughout the US (see following listing).

Dielectric's studies offer each station alternative solutions for combining current NTSC channels with future HDTV channels based on the latest FCC allotment tables. The study looks at different configurations for HDTV/NTSC and offers options on the antenna, transmission lines, and RF systems. These studies incorporate mechanical as well as electrical considerations.

Dielectric Communications Design studies are invaluable in assisting the stations engineers plot a direction for the transition to HDTV today and be prepared for action as the FCC allocation tables are finalized. Dielectric Communications utilizes proprietary software to determine the actual HDTV coverage in the presence of other antennas and towers.

The studies are conducted under the direction of Dr. Oded Bendov, Vice President of Antenna Engineering and Advanced Technologies.

Dielectric Communications, based in Raymond Maine, is the nation's largest manufacturer of TV and FM broadcast Antennas, Transmission Line and RF components, and a world leader in broadcast transmission system design and manufacture.
